The Boeing 787-8 aircraft, en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff, killing 241 of the 242 people on board, including Ranjitha .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ranjitha had been working as a nurse in the United Kingdom and had taken leave from her position in the Kerala Health Services to visit her family. She was employed at the Government Hospital in Kozhencherry and had been on leave to extend her stay with relatives. After arriving in India, she traveled from Chengannur Railway Station to Nedumbassery Airport and then to Ahmedabad, where the tragic accident occurred .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The crash occurred when the aircraft collided with the BJ Medical College hostel in Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff, resulting in a massive fireball and numerous casualties. Among the dead was former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ranjitha leaves behind two children and an elderly mother.
