Rajesh, the State Minister for Local Self-Government, officially released the book by handing over a copy to former Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac, who is a writer and economist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This book is the English translation of Junaid Kaippani&#8217;s Malayalam work on decentralized planning, tites Decentralised Planning: Thought and Practice.<br>Former Karnataka Home Minister P.G.R. Sindhia wrote the foreword to the book. P.A. Basheer is the translator, and String Publications is the publisher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Numerous individuals from social, cultural, political, and literary spheres, along with people&#8217;s representatives, attended the release ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This study was prepared based on interviews and discussions conducted by Junaid Kaippani, who traveled across Wayanad district to understand welfare activities and development issues firsthand, meeting all 582 people&#8217;s representatives of the local self-governing bodies in the district.<br>The work shares observations and experiences from an original and comprehensive grassroots-level study on how effectively the concepts of decentralization of power and development, put forth by the three-tier system, are achieving their goals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thrissur: The English translation of &#8220;Decentralised Planning \u2013 Thought and Practice,&#8221; a study on local governance by Junaid Kaippani, Chairman of the Wayanad District Panchayat&#8217;s Welfare Standing Committee, was released at the Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA) headquarters in Thrissur.
