Police have revealed that the incident was part of a conspiracy to frame Augustine, stemming from internal disputes and personal animosity within the Congress party in Mullankolli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">\u200bIn connection with the case, the police have arrested P.S. Prasad (41) of Puthanveedu, Marakadavu, who allegedly purchased the liquor from Karnataka to be placed under Thangachan\u2019s car. The police have also gathered evidence, including Google Pay transaction records, confirming the purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">\u200bPolice officials stated that following allegations of Thangachan&#8217;s innocence, they had been collecting and examining call records and other evidence from those who had tipped them off. The police clarified that Prasad was only an intermediary and that the main culprit who placed the liquor and explosives would be arrested soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">\u200bThe police have informed the court of Thangachan&#8217;s innocence and have filed an application to release him. The day after Thangachan&#8217;s arrest, his wife, Sini, and son, Steve Geo, held a press conference, stating that a faction within the Congress party had tried to frame her husband due to political rivalry.
