The visit came in response to a request from the disaster-affected families she met on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u200bGandhi began her visit at Mattarakkunnu in Chooralmala, where she inspected the land of a local farmer named Annayya, who lost two acres of his cultivated land in the landslide. She then proceeded to the Mundakkai area, another severely affected region. Residents of the area voiced their concerns about the loss of employment due to the closure of the Bailey bridge, a vital link in the region’s transportation network. Advocate T. The District Collector assured the Congress leader that the Bailey bridge would be reopened for local residents with certain restrictions once the rains subside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u200bDuring the discussion, Gandhi also raised concerns about the medical expenses of those who suffered severe injuries in the landslides. The District Collector assured her that the administration would look into the matter.
