Chennai Thirumangalam Police Take Minu Muneer into Custody from Aluva.

Chennai: Malayalam actress Minu Muneer has been taken into custody by a team from the Thirumangalam police station in Chennai. The arrest was made from her residence in Aluva, Kerala, as part of an ongoing investigation into a case registered in Tamil Nadu. The news has been widely reported by several media outlets.

According to these reports, the case dates back to 2014 and involves allegations that the actress attempted to hand over a woman, who is a relative, to a sex racket. The complaint states that Minu Muneer had lured the woman to Tamil Nadu with the promise of a film role.

The Thirumangalam police, after conducting an investigation, traveled to Aluva and took the actress into custody on Wednesday night. She has since been transported to Chennai for further legal proceedings.

This is not the first time Minu Muneer has been in the news recently. As reported by media sources like Hindustan Times and Times of India, she was previously arrested in a defamation case filed by veteran actor-director Balachandra Menon. She was released on bail in that case shortly before this latest arrest. The actress had also made headlines in the past for making sexual assault allegations against several prominent figures in the Malayalam film industry.
