Tamarassery: A tragic road accident on the National Highway near Kaithapoyil claimed the life of a man from Kannootippara, Tamarssery, after a car collided with a scooter, causing it to veer off the road and plunge into a gorge.The deceased has been identified as Krishnankutty (55), a construction worker from Peringode, Kannootippara. The accident occurred while he was traveling with a friend on a scooter to Wayanad for work.
His co-rider, Muhammed Ali, sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
The incident happened this morning in front of Divya Stadium at Kaithapoyil. According to reports, the scooter lost control after being hit by a car and fell into a gorge, resulting in Krishnankutty’s untimely death.
