J&K Govt Dismisses Three Employees Over Alleged Terror Links Under Article 311.

Sreenagar:June 3, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha dismissed three government employees—police constable Malik Ishfaq Naseer, teacher Ajaz Ahmad, and junior assistant Wasim Ahmad Khan—alleging their involvement with terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. The dismissals were made under Article 311(2)(c) of the Indian Constitution, which permits the termination of government employees without inquiry if their actions are deemed prejudicial to national security.

The three individuals are currently incarcerated, with police constable Malik Ishfaq Naseer facing charges related to his alleged terror links. This action is part of ongoing efforts by the Jammu and Kashmir administration to eliminate elements within the government workforce that may support or be associated with terrorist activities.

Since the revocation of Article 370 in 2019, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has invoked Article 311(2)(c) to dismiss over 70 employees for alleged terror links, including police personnel, teachers, and other government staff.

The latest dismissals underscore the administration’s commitment to maintaining national security and its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism within its institutions.
