Jaishankar, lauded India’s expression of solidarity with Iran and its firm condemnation of what Iran termed as “Israeli regime’s aggression.” The conversation comes amid heightened tensions and civilian casualties following a series of Israeli airstrikes.
According to a post by Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X (formerly Twitter), Minister Jaishankar extended the “deep sympathies of the government and people of India” to the Iranian nation in the wake of the attacks. The Indian side reiterated its commitment to peace and stability in the region while calling for restraint and the protection of civilians.
