Wayanad Excise Intelligence, acting on a confidential tip-off, seized 4.868 grams of methamphetamine from a passenger on a Kerala RTC bus at the Muthanga Excise Checkpost. The bus was en route from Mysuru to Kozhikode.
The individual arrested in connection with the seizure has been identified as Mohammed Mushrif (27, 2025) from Illikkottil, Pakkadapuraya, Vengara Village, Tirurangadi Taluk, Malappuram District.
The operation was led by Excise Inspector Sanfeer Mohammed. The inspection team included Excise Intelligence Inspector Manikandan V.K., Assistant Excise Inspectors (Grade) Suresh Vengalakkunnel and Haridas C.V., Preventive Officers Krishnankutty P., Aneesh A.S., Vinod P.R., and Charleskutty T.E., Civil Excise Officers Sudheesh V. and Sivan E.B., Woman Civil Excise Officers Shiny K.E. and Prasanna T.G., and Civil Excise Officer Driver Prasad K.
