Sarasota, Florida – A couple from Connecticut has been arrested and subsequently released on bail after allegedly engaging in a sexual act aboard a JetBlue flight from New York to Sarasota, Florida, in full view of underage children. The incident, which occurred on July 19th, has led to a travel ban for both individuals on JetBlue Airlines.
Trista El Reily, 43, and Christopher Drew Arnold, 42, both residents of Connecticut, were taken into custody following complaints from a female co-passenger and her two minor children who witnessed the act. The incident reportedly took place around 10:30 AM.
According to reports from fellow passengers, airline staff were alerted to the couple’s behavior. Despite requests from flight attendants, the couple reportedly refused to cease their actions.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the couple’s arrest, stating that charges have been filed for lewd and lascivious exhibition in front of minors. Reily and Arnold have been instructed to appear in Sarasota County Court on August 15th for their trial.
JetBlue Airlines has issued a statement condemning the couple’s actions, calling their conduct “unacceptable.” The airline has also confirmed that both individuals are permanently banned from traveling on any JetBlue flight in the future.
