Chandigarh:With the BJP sweeping civic polls in Haryana on Wednesday, national president JP Nadda, Union home minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance. The Congress, which was looking to turn around its electoral fortunes after suffering a defeat in the 2024 assembly election, had to bite the dust.The Bharatiya Janata Party registered a clean sweep in the Haryana local body polls, winning nine out of the total 10 municipal corporations in the mayoral polls. BJP lost out the Manesar seat to independent candidate Dr Inderjit Yadav.

Extending his congratulations to Saini and other state BJP leaders, Nadda said this is a historic victory for the BJP and a “reflection of the unwavering faith” people have in the public welfare schemes and development-oriented policies that reached wards under the guidance of Modi.
