Operation Sindoor Aimed Only at Terrorists, Says Air Marshal M.K. Bharathi — Over 100 Terrorists Eliminated.

In a joint press conference with the Director General of Military Operations, Air Marshal M.K. Bharathi stated that Operation Sindoor was specifically aimed at terrorists and not civilians. He confirmed that over 100 terrorists were killed in the operation, which was a response to attacks that had claimed innocent lives. The operation successfully destroyed the training center in Muridke, which was a major objective.

He further added that the terrorists responsible for attacks like the Pulwama bombing and the Kandahar hijacking were neutralized during this mission. Some militants reportedly fled the scene fearing retaliation. Muridke, known as a key training hub for top Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists like Kasab and Headley, was a primary target. The training center there was demolished.

The armed forces emphasized that there was no damage to civilian areas in Pakistan during the operation.

Meanwhile, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has directed military commanders to respond strongly to any ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the border. During a review of the current security situation, General Dwivedi gave full freedom to field commanders for counterattacks.

He instructed that even minor provocations along the Line of Control should be dealt with decisively, and that all commanders now have complete authority to act accordingly.
