PM Modi Directs Armed Forces to Respond with Full Force to Cross-Border Firing and Shelling — Says Operation Sindoor Not Over Yet
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a clear directive to the armed forces to respond with full strength to any cross-border firing or shelling from Pakistan. Speaking on the continuation of Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister stated that for every bullet fired from across the Line of Control (LoC), India will respond with bombs.
“If they shoot, we will shoot. If they attack, we will retaliate,” Modi declared, emphasizing that India does not require any third-party mediation and that the only issue remaining on the agenda is the return of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The central government further asserted, “We have a very clear stance on Kashmir. Only one objective remains — the return of PoK. We are not interested in any other discussions. If Pakistan wants to talk about handing over terrorists, we can engage. But beyond that, we have no intention to negotiate.”
India reiterated that it does not welcome any external mediation, dismissing any proposals of third-party involvement. This comes in light of Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s positive response to mediation offers, including his thanks to former U.S. President Donald Trump for expressing willingness to mediate.
