Iran State TV Attacked During Live Broadcast; Host Defiantly Returns On Air.

Iran’s state broadcaster, IRIB, came under attack following prior warnings from Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz. The incident, marked by dramatic visuals of chaos during a live broadcast, has further intensified the already fraught Iran-Israel tensions.

Iran’s official state television channel, IRIB, was struck in a targeted attack on Sunday. During the live transmission, a blast disrupted the studio — visuals showed the anchor quickly leaving the seat while clouds of dust and debris filled the set.

This attack came shortly after Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz publicly warned that Iran’s media infrastructure could be targeted. Despite the damage, the IRIB channel resumed broadcasting shortly after the attack. In a defiant return to the anchor’s desk, the host challenged Israel once again, vowing not to back down.

Reports suggest that several media personnel within the IRIB facility may have been killed in the attack.

In retaliation warnings, Iran has reportedly issued threats against Israeli media outlets, including Channel 12 and Channel 14. Furthermore, Iranian authorities have warned Israeli civilians to evacuate Tel Aviv, signaling potential further escalation.

Iran has also appealed to Gulf nations to mediate a ceasefire, indicating ongoing diplomatic efforts behind the scenes even as hostilities escalate on the ground.
