THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Wayanad District Panchayat Homoeo Hospital has earned recognition by securing the third position in the first Ayush Kayakalp Award category in the state. The hospital achieved this remarkable feat with an impressive score of 95.24 percent, for which it was awarded a prize money of one and a half lakh rupees.
The award is given for outstanding performance by government hospitals in maintaining cleanliness, waste management, and infection control.
The award was received by Wayanad District Panchayat President Shamshad Marakkar, Welfare Standing Committee Chairman Junaid Kaippani, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Sumesh P, Dr. Nadia Mol P, and Dr. Ashwathi K. N. from Health and Women and Child Development Minister Veena George at a ceremony held at the Jimmy George Indoor Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
