NEW DELHI – The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the RSS-BJP, has secured a decisive victory in the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections, winning three out of the four top posts. The results were announced after a day of vote counting, solidifying ABVP’s strong presence in one of India’s most politically influential universities.
The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student arm of the Congress, managed to secure the Vice President’s post, preventing a complete whitewash. The elections saw a voter turnout of 39.45% and were conducted using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

- Winner: Aryan Maan (ABVP)
- Votes: 28,841
- Runner-up: Joslyn Nandita Choudhary (NSUI)
- Votes: 12,645
- Other: SFI-AISA candidate (5,385 votes), independent candidate (5,522 votes).
Vice President: - Winner: Rahul Jhansla (NSUI)
- Votes: 29,339
- Runner-up: Govind Tanwar (ABVP)
- Votes: 20,547
- Other: SFI-AISA candidate (4,163 votes).
Secretary: - Winner: Kunal Chaudhary (ABVP)
- Votes: 23,779
- Runner-up: Kabir (NSUI)
- Votes: 16,177
- Other: SFI-AISA candidate (9,535 votes).
Joint Secretary: - Winner: Deepika Jha (ABVP)
- Votes: 21,825
- Runner-up: Lavkush Bhadana (NSUI)
- Votes: 17,380
- Other: SFI-AISA candidate (8,425 votes).
The ABVP’s victory in the DUSU polls is considered a significant win for the organization, reaffirming its popularity among the youth in Delhi. The win is particularly noteworthy as the NSUI had clinched the posts of President and Joint Secretary in the previous year’s elections.
