Woman Stabbed to Death by Live-in Partner in Andhra Pradesh After Refusing Sex Work.

Konaseema District, Andhra Pradesh – A tragic incident has come to light in Konaseema district, Andhra Pradesh, where a 22-year-old woman identified as Pushpa was allegedly murdered by her live-in partner, Shaik Shamma. Police report that the motive behind the brutal killing was Pushpa’s refusal to engage in sex work, which Shamma had pressured her into for financial gain. Authorities have launched an intensive investigation to apprehend the accused, who is currently at large.

The murder took place at Pushpa’s residence in Siddhartha Nagar. According to police, Pushpa had separated from her husband approximately six months ago. During this period, she met Shaik Shamma, and their relationship soon blossomed into a romantic one. They subsequently moved into a rented house together, commencing a live-in relationship.

However, their relationship quickly soured, with frequent arguments erupting between the couple. Shaik Shamma reportedly accused Pushpa of having relationships with other men, leading to constant disputes.

Amidst these escalating tensions, Shamma allegedly began pressuring Pushpa to become a sex worker, urging her to engage in relationships with multiple individuals to earn money quickly. Pushpa vehemently resisted these demands and, as a result, left their shared residence and returned to her mother’s home.

On Wednesday night, Shamma arrived at Pushpa’s house, demanding that she return with him. He reiterated his demand for her to work as a sex worker. When Pushpa once again refused to comply, a heated argument ensued between them.

Pushpa’s mother and brother intervened in the escalating dispute, which then turned into a physical altercation. In an attempt to de-escalate the situation and separate the parties, Shamma allegedly attacked Pushpa. He reportedly used a knife to stab her in the left side of her chest and leg. Pushpa succumbed to her injuries due to severe blood loss.

The local police were immediately alerted to the incident. A case has been registered, and a manhunt has been initiated to locate and apprehend Shaik Shamma. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the dangers some individuals face in volatile relationships, especially when financial exploitation and coercion are involved.
Further details are awaited as the police continue their investigation.
