Rahul Must Apologise for Insulting Modi and His Mother: Amit Shah; BJP, Congress Workers Clash in Patna Amid Bihar Election Tensions.

PATNA: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched a strong attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, demanding an apology for alleged derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during a rally in Bihar. The incident has led to a major political row, culminating in a violent clash between BJP and Congress workers in Patna, just months before the state assembly elections.

The controversy erupted during Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Darbhanga, Bihar, where a video surfaced showing an individual from the rally stage using abusive language against the Prime Minister and his mother. While the Congress has distanced itself from the person and the comments, the BJP has seized on the incident, holding Rahul Gandhi responsible.

Speaking at a rally, Amit Shah condemned the remarks as “the greatest fall in politics” and a “most condemnable act.” He called on Rahul Gandhi to apologise to the Prime Minister, his late mother, and the people of the country, stating that the public would not tolerate such a level of political discourse. Shah accused the Congress of resorting to a “culture of hatred” as a response to the BJP’s growing popularity.
In Patna, the outrage over the incident spilled onto the streets as BJP workers, led by state leaders, marched to the Congress party office to protest.

The demonstration quickly turned violent, with both sides accusing each other of instigating the confrontation. Reports indicate that the clash involved scuffles, stone-pelting, and damage to property, prompting police intervention.
The escalating tensions are a clear sign of the heightened political climate in Bihar as both the BJP-led NDA and the INDIA bloc prepare for the upcoming assembly elections.

The BJP has used the incident to attack the Congress and its alliance partners, while the Congress has accused the BJP of creating a law and order issue to disrupt its ongoing yatra.
With the Bihar elections drawing closer, this incident is likely to be a key talking point in the political campaigns, as parties vie for the support of voters.
