Arunachal Kickboxers Deliver Stellar Performance with 12 Medals at National Championship in Raipur.


RAIPUR, Chhattisgarh, July 22, 2025 – Arunachal Pradesh’s kickboxing contingent showcased exceptional skill and determination at the Wako India Seniors & Masters National Kickboxing Championship 2025, securing an impressive haul of 12 medals. The championship, held in Raipur from July 16 to 20, saw the team clinch three gold, three silver, and six bronze medals, marking a significant achievement for the state’s growing kickboxing talent.


Among the standout performers, Rantu Sonowal dominated the -57kg K1 event, earning a well-deserved gold medal. Bishal Mura added another gold to Arunachal’s tally in the -54kg Low Kick category. The versatile Licha Sep secured a gold medal in the -65kg Light Contact event and further demonstrated her prowess by also taking home a bronze in Point Fight, making her the only double-medalist from the team.


The silver medalists who showcased strong performances include Robin Deori in the -67kg K1 event, Jipe Lombi in the -54kg K1 event, and Bem Tada in the -86kg Full Contact category.


The six bronze medals were won by Kabak Mallam (-60kg, Full Contact), Khyoda Talik (-57kg, Light Contact), Guchi Laila (-52kg, Full Contact), Gokia Pake (-70kg, K1), and Pisa Ane (-65kg, Full Contact), in addition to Licha Sep’s second medal.


The Kickboxing Association of Arunachal extended their heartfelt congratulations to the entire team for their commendable performance. They also expressed gratitude to Santosh K. Agrawal, President of the Wako India Kickboxing Federation, for his continued support and guidance, which has been instrumental in the development of kickboxing in the state. The team was led by KAA Technical Director Gopal Moran.
