Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Inaugurates Government Nursing School in Sangrur.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has officially inaugurated a new government nursing training school in Sangrur, a project completed at a cost of ₹7.81 crore. The new facility is part of the state government’s broader “Rangla Punjab” initiative, which focuses on improving healthcare infrastructure and education.
The newly constructed school is equipped with modern facilities, including smart classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and a library to provide a high-quality learning environment for nursing students. The school will offer training for the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course.

This initiative is aimed at addressing the shortage of skilled healthcare professionals and will provide local students with access to quality nursing education, eliminating the need for them to travel to other cities like Bathinda or Patiala for their studies.

The inauguration of the nursing school is a step forward in the government’s commitment to making Punjab a hub for medical education and ensuring that quality healthcare facilities are accessible to the public, particularly in the Malwa region. The project is part of a larger plan that includes the construction and upgradation of various medical colleges and healthcare facilities across the state.
