Red Fort Blast: Security Forces Demolish House of Bomber Dr. Umar Nabi in Pulwama.

Jammu Kashmir :Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir carried out a controlled demolition of the house belonging to Dr. Umar Nabi, the prime suspect and alleged bomber in the recent high-intensity car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi.
The operation was executed in the early hours of Friday (November 14, 2025) at Dr. Umar Nabi’s residence in the Koil village of Pulwama district, South Kashmir. Officials confirmed the demolition was carried out overnight, signaling a strict response to terror-linked activities.
Key Details of the Demolition and Investigation

  • Suspect’s Identity Confirmed: Authorities confirmed on Thursday that DNA samples collected from the blast site conclusively matched the DNA of Dr. Umar Nabi’s mother. This confirmed that Dr. Umar, a 29-year-old doctor from Pulwama, was behind the wheel of the explosive-laden Hyundai i20 car that detonated near the Red Fort on Monday evening, killing 13 people.
  • The Operation: The house was reportedly demolished using an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in a controlled manner by security agencies, including the police. Officials stated that family members were safely evacuated before the demolition took place.
  • Signaling a Warning: Police sources indicated that the destruction of the house was intended to send a “strong message” against militancy and those supporting terror activities in the region.
  • Terror Module Connection: Dr. Umar Nabi has been identified as a crucial member of an inter-state “white-collar militant network” with alleged links to proscribed outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH).
  • The Motive: Investigators believe Dr. Umar may have detonated the IED-laden car in a panic after his associates in the terror module, including other doctors, were arrested, and nearly 3,000 kg of explosives were seized in simultaneous raids across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
The investigation into the multi-state terror module is ongoing, with agencies, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), leading the probe into the entire network of radicalised professionals.
